Pregnancy Education Classes

Lee Obstetrics and Gynecology recognizes the importance of being prepared and feeling empowered to take on the challenges that come with childbirth and becoming a parent. There are many options available to moms for pregnancy, childbirth and after delivery. For some moms, this may be a deep dive into online articles and blogs. For other moms, in person, hands-on training with local experts may be preferred. The Auburn/Opelika area is fortunate to have several options available to meet the individual needs of parents.

Lee Obstetrics & Gynecology are excited to host Abbey Love Murray and our patients in our conference room located on the 3rd Floor of our building.

Abbey is a nurse, a lover of education and travel and a mom who wants to share information with other moms. We have partnered with Abbey to provide birthing classes exclusively for our patients.

Abbey is a registered labor and delivery nurse, experienced in lactation, certified in Basic Life Support, Advance Certified Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Certified. Her experience in the nursing world led to her passion as an educator and consultant. She is also a certified pediatric sleep specialist, basic life support instructor, a CAPPA child birth educator and so much more.

Abbey's childbirth class will last approximately 3 hours and will cover some of the most anticipated questions moms have about what to expect during their delivery such as Evidence Based Education on breathing & comfort techniques, partner support, stages of labor, labor & delivery procedures, birthing positions, vaginal and Cesarean deliveries. Prior to arriving, moms will complete a questionnaire on their specific needs and will leave the class with custom designed handouts on pregnancy and labor plus Abbey's best tips and tricks from a seasoned Labor and Delivery nurse (and mom of 4).

The next class will take place Thursday, May 2nd from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. The cost is $150 per couple. Email admin@leeobgyn.com to sign up today!
